I LOVE AARON TIPPEN!

I’ve worked in radio for 40 years, but, never in country music radio. While working at Top 40 and Rock stations and now in News Talk Radio I’ve been blessed to meet some wonderful artists, performers and entertainers, but never have I met one as kind and gracious as Aaron Tippen. What a gentleman! No wonder y’all love him so much.
Here’s what happened; my husband, son, daughter in law, grandbaby girl and I met for lunch Saturday afternoon at the Lil Rebel on Highway 290 in Greer. I drove alone to meet them there and arrived minutes before they did.
Well, as I was walking in I met Tippen as he was walking out. Recognizing him, I told him I was there to meet some of my family members including my son who was looking forward to going to the Greer Family Fest that night just to see him perform.
He was so appreciative and waited for a couple of minutes until they got there just to say hello. What a good and humble person!
He thanked my son for being a fan, shook hands with my husband who was holding our grandchild, and talked about how cute she is (that was a heart winner!) He told us they were expecting a grandbaby soon and he was looking forward to it! BUT, most importantly, he said something like; “y’all bring that little girl up right, we need some good little Christians who love God!”
Are you kiddin’ me? a person of his “fame” not ashamed to speak up for faith! So cool, so kind, so considerate and such an excellent example of a good Christian man!
I am so grateful to have met him. And while I’m pretty sure he’s long forgotten our chance meeting, I will never forget it!
Thank you Aaron Tippen! You made me happy, you made a new fan AND I’m certain you made our Heavenly Father even happier.
God Bless you!
