MEN TAKING 'LADY' JOBS
by Lisa Rollins,posted May 23 2012 12:00AM
More men are apparently leaving "manly" jobs to enter fields traditionally dominated by women. According to new data occupations that WERE more than 70% female made up about a 3rd of all job growth for men from 2000 to 2010. That’s double the rise in the 1990s. The New York Times reports men are becoming teachers and nurses, but also bank tellers, receptionists, and servers. According to the Times, the trend is most pronounced among young, white men with college degrees.
Are you seeing this more and more?
Nurses was men jobs in the begining. Before WW1 there was a lot more male nurses then female. Because of the war and other stuff, female become more popular in that field. It is a shame how men is treated in hospital and nusing homes. They do not resect males at all. We need more male to take care of male needs.
