I have been in radio for 40+ years. My career in this wonderful field started in my hometown of Storm Lake, Iowa back in 1968. Since leaving the nest, I’ve worked in Iowa, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. This includes being an owner of an AM-FM station in Georgia.
My job here at WORD is News Director. This includes staying on top of what is going on in the Upstate and making sure its gets on the air and on our website. I cover various meetings and news conferences thru-out the area. In covering news over my career I've seen just about everything any one news caster can see and experience. From shootings, political careers that rise and fall, weather disasters and more.
I enjoy working for Entercom and the people that are around me from day to day. I also enjoy being the voice for the Greenville Drive during baseball season. If you see me at the field make sure you stop and say hi!

I got my start in radio at the age of 17, as a homeschooled, high school Senior, working part-time for a news-talk station in my hometown of Tri-Cities, Washington. By the time I was 19, I was working as a TV reporter, and eventually worked as News Director for a group of stations in Southern Oregon. As a former military spouse, I’ve had the pleasure of living all over the country, and have enjoyed the years I’ve been blessed to spend in South Carolina.
Here at WORD, I help cover local news, and also fill in for the anchors when needed. Behind the scenes, I help the production team with commercials.
You’ll hear me talk about my Tweedles—my three little boys who occupy much of my free time. I also blog about Fitness at NotSoFitGirl.com, and enjoy biking the Swamp Rabbit Trail and hiking Paris Mountain. The Tweedles and I are HUGE Oregon Duck fans (Win The Day!), and also enjoy watching Greenville Drive and Road Warriors games. You can follow me on Twitter: @JennaOnTheAir.

I have been working for NewsRadio WORD since before we were on the FM dial.
I am a Clemson Graduate. B.A. English Literature/Minor: Journalism
I have been known to jump out of airplanes. Perfectly good ones.
I have my CWP, love to shoot and am an excellent shot.
I love to run, cook, paint, fish, water-ski and was a competitive diver.
I'm a military brat, youngest daughter of an Air Force Colonel and a beautiful Norweigan mom. Married an Irishman named Dan Roberts and have a menagerie of furry critters.
After graduating from Clemson, I traveled the U.S. and Canada with a professional theater company for two years as an actress and professional pianist. Landed a scholarship at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco and worked in t.v. and on stage in various productions and commercials. Came back home to Greenville to look after my Mom and Dad and after a play production here in town, I was approached by an audience member who asked me if I would be interested in reporting traffic on the radio! I worked my way up to the job of Director of Operations for Metro Networks Traffic and was hired by News Radio WORD as a part-time news reporter back when we were only on the AM dial. When Metro Networks disolved, WORD kept me on and the rest - as they say - is history!
I love my job. I love working for Bobby Mac for many, many reasons. One of which is that he actually knew Lawrence Welk. Two true gentlemen. Two of my heros.
