Two people have been arrested and charged with armed robbery and kidnapping after a Dairy Queen was robbed at gunpoint over the weekend.
Mauldin Police say 21-year old Shakira Taylor and 19-year old Tyler Griffin are alleged to have entered the DQ on North Main Street in Mauldin on Sunday.
They were wearing masks and Taylor presented a gun. They ordered the employees to get on the ground and then took more than 2-thousand dollars from the cash register and safe.
Police said the manager of the store was hit in the face with the gun and suffered minor injuries.
